Meghan Parks
Meghan Parks, a senior enrolled in the Physical Education Teacher Licensure Program, has been selected by MAHPERD (Massachusetts Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance) as a recipient of one of the five 2016 MAHPERD Outstanding Future Professional awards. These students have demonstrated dedication to the Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance profession and have made significant contributions to their college and community. These outstanding students will be recognized Sunday, April 10th, at the MAHPERD annual awards banquet.
In addition Meghan was selected as one of two students to represent MAHPERD at the Shape America Eastern District Convention, May 22-24, 2016 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Meghan completed her student teaching at the J. Warren Killam Elementary School in Reading Massachusetts. She has made a tremendous impact on all of the students utilizing the pedagogy of inclusion and sport for all as a benchmark for her teaching. She is truly a positive addition to the Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance profession.
