2017 STEM Lecture Series Welcomes Tufts University Professor as Second Guest
Endicott’s annual STEM lecture series is pleased to welcome Dr. Bruce Boghosian to give the second presentation of this year’s series.
The presentation will be hosted at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1 in the Ginger Judge Science Center. Dr. Boghosian, a professor of mathematics at Tufts University, will be giving the talk on “The Transactional Origins of Poverty and Inequality.”
Dr. Boghosian has been a fellow of the American Physical Society since 2000, and a foreign member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia since 2008. He has held numerous visiting academic positions throughout the world and is a member of the editorial boards of four scientific journals.
Dr. Boghosian’s presentation will run from 7 - 8 p.m. in the auditorium of the Ginger Judge Science Center. Light refreshments will be served in the lobby beginning at 6:30 p.m. Admission to this event is free and open to the public.
The first speaker of this year’s series was Dr. Fernando Vieira, Senior Director of Preclinical Development at . His lecture focused on the drug discovery process, from target selection to optimization, pre-clinical tests, and ultimately, clinical trials.
