In an effort to expand overseas opportunities for students, it’s fairly standard to see institutional agreements between two higher education entities. What is truly unique about the new exchange relationship between 熊猫在线视频 and the (CIT) in Cork, Ireland is that the academic and student-driven missions of the two institutions align so perfectly.

CIT offers academic programs that closely parallel not only Endicott’s eight undergraduate academic schools, but graduate programs as well. A focus on trade and professional development at CIT mirrors Endicott’s emphasis on experiential learning and career support. Both institutions have exemplary records in job placement for graduates.

The institutional agreement between Endicott and CIT will see both student exchange and faculty exchange, enriching the academic learning and global perspectives at both institutions. In addition to study abroad, Cork provides exciting internship opportunities with leading U.S., Irish and multinational corporations which have headquarters or a significant presence in the city, including: Amazon, Apple, Blizzard Entertainment, Boston Scientific, EMC, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson Controls, Johnson & Johnson, Logitech, Novartis, and Pfizer. Endicott students will have the opportunity to conduct both shorter internships and their semester-long internship while studying abroad.

“We’re quite excited about this new partnership with CIT,” said Endicott President Dr. Richard Wylie. “I’m looking forward to offering another robust international experience to our Endicott students, and to receive Irish students here for study – it’s a larger volume agreement than any international partnership we’ve had. Our global economy necessitates global education, and this relationship with Cork opens up many doors for our students to gain broader, culturally-relevant knowledge.”

Additional factors making this new relationship one of great opportunity for Endicott students include accessibility (direct flights between Providence, RI and Cork), a safe location for international study, a common language to ease immersion, access to study in a strong economy, and affordability.

One example of the new opportunities brought to Endicott students of all levels is an upcoming Global Business MBA course that combines classroom time in Beverly with a class trip to Cork. The course provides unique opportunities for students to understand and experience similarities and differences among Irish, European and US markets and businesses and to identify key success factors and challenges by visiting Irish corporations and multi-national companies in a variety of industries. The trip will also include two days of cultural immersion by visiting historical attractions, museums and participating in cultural events.

The first student exchange with Cork will begin in fall 2018 and is eligible for , including scholarships and airfare credits for a variety of international locations, aimed at helping making global experiences available across all majors, concentrations and interests. The window for student applications is open now through March 9.
