Endicott Makes Splash in U.S. News & World Report Rankings

The 2020 Best Colleges Rankings, published Monday, as one of the top 25 Regional Universities North and included the College in multiple lists, including Co-Ops/Internships and Best Value Schools.
No. 23 Regional Universities North
Once again, Endicott saw an increase in the top overall category, jumping two spots among other top northern institutions. According to U.S. News & World Report's criteria, regional universities are schools that "offer a broad scope of undergraduate degrees and some master's degree programs but few, if any, doctoral programs."
Endicott offers all three, with master's and doctoral programs available through the . North is one of four geographical areas, along with south, midwest, and west.
Reasons for the jump from No. 25 to No. 23 also include:
- Strong and consistent retention and graduation rates
- Improvements in metrics around reputation, admission (SAT scores), faculty (percentage with terminal degree), small class sizes (65 percent < 20 students), and a low student-to-faculty ratio (12:1).
Endicott used to be ranked in the Regional Colleges North category but moved up to universities due to the size of its graduate enrollment through Van Loan. The following are Endicott’s previous Regional Universities North rankings:

No. 9 Co-ops/Internships
Thanks to its nationally-recognized internship model, Endicott was ranked as the in the U.S. for co-ops/internships, tying Stanford University. Endicott and the other schools on this list were recognized by education industry leaders for requiring or encouraging "students to apply what they're learning in the classroom out in the real world," according to U.S. News & World Report.
At Endicott, students experience a four-year internship program, which includes two 120-hour internships—one during the freshman year and one during the sophomore year—and a full-time, 14-week semester internship senior year. No. 34 Best Value Schools
Endicott saw an impressive rise to the for best value among Regional Universities North, up from No. 46 in 2019. This rise can be attributed to Endicott's overall "academic quality, as indicated by its 2020 U.S. News Best Colleges ranking, and the 2018-19 net cost of attendance for a student who received the average level of need-based financial aid," according to U.S. News & World Report.
At Endicott, 92 percent of traditional undergraduate students receive some form of financial aid—and 90 percent of students receive institutional aid—and the average aid package from all sources is $20,178.
