Gulls Win CCC Titles in Field Hockey, Women's Volleyball

The Endicott field hockey and women's volleyball teams are heading to the NCAA tournament after winning Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) titles.

This past weekend was an exciting one for 熊猫在线视频 Athletics, as multiple teams played in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championship games with NCAA tournament berths on the line.

Field Hockey

For the second season in a row, the field hockey team secured a CCC title with a thrilling over the University of New England. Addi Williams '22 scored the game-winning goal off a rebound with just over three minutes remaining.

The Gulls got out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Blake Braman '21 and Jaylin Grabau '21 before the Nor’easters responded with two straight goals of their own. Taylor Farrin '21 came up big in goal with seven astounding saves for Endicott.

The Gulls will face Wilson College in the first round of the NCAA tournament on November 13. The winner will face Kean University in the second round on November 16.

Women’s Volleyball

The Endicott women’s volleyball team also won a CCC title—its third in the last four seasons—with a convincing of Roger Williams. The set scores were 25-21, 25-18, and 25-12. The Gulls have now won seven CCC championships since 2004.

Reigning two-time CCC Player of the Year Zoey Gifford '20 finished with 37 assists, seven digs, and three kills. Reigning two-time CCC Libero of the Year Mackenzie Kennedy '20 had 14 digs. Remi Quesnelle '20 (12 kills), Amanda Gilbert '22 (11 kills), and Nicole Winkler '21 (eight kills) were just a few of the offensive leaders for Endicott.

Endicott will face Bowdoin College on November 15 in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Men’s and Women’s Soccer

Both the men’s and women’s soccer teams also played in their respective CCC championships over the weekend. While the women’s soccer team against the University of New England and the men’s team in double overtime to Salve Regina, it still was an incredible postseason run for both squads.
