Announcing the Fall 2024 Angle Center for Entrepreneurship Speaker Series
Endicott’s Colin and Erika Angle Center for Entrepreneurship has announced its fall lineup of speakers for its 2024 Speaker Series, featuring inspiring leaders from diverse fields.
“This is the second year of the Angle Center for Entrepreneurship Speaker Series, and we couldn’t be more excited to host such a dynamic lineup of entrepreneurs,” said Gina Deschamps, Executive Director for the Angle Center for Entrepreneurship.
This year’s series is focused on the powerful intersections between science, technology, and entrepreneurship, noted Jessica Kaufman, Associate Dean of the School of Science and Technology.
“Innovations in science and technology drive much of today’s business growth, and by bringing together leaders from these fields, we’re fostering partnerships that can shape the future,” said Kaufman. “Our students and alumni are at the forefront of this movement, and these speakers will provide valuable insights into how science and tech can fuel entrepreneurial success.”
The series kicks off on September 24 with , founder of . After losing her husband to a sudden cardiac arrest while playing soccer, McKenzie launched a youth soccer foundation in his honor and followed with her clothing brand for the soccer lifestyle in 2012 to support it. Able Made is known for embedding circularity, sustainability, and community-building into every collection. McKenzie’s work also helps create local jobs, healthier communities, and a positive impact on the planet.
On October 23, President and CEO of Junior Achievement Worldwide will discuss the impact of , one of the largest youth services organizations in the world and a two-time nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize under Advani’s leadership. The co-author of Modern Achievement: A New Approach to Timeless Lessons for Aspiring Leaders, Advani will share insights into global youth entrepreneurship, drawing on experiences from a career at the helm of major organizations such as Covestor and CircleLending and consulting with the World Bank and Monitor Group.
CEO will close the semester with a talk on November 12. As CEO of Precisely— a software company specializing in data integrity tools and beyond—Rogers leads a global team delivering software and data products to some of the world’s largest organizations, including 99 of the Fortune 100. His leadership in data integrity has earned him recognition as the 2024 Entrepreneur of the Year, and he will discuss the importance of accuracy and context in data-driven business decisions.
“Each leader brings a unique perspective on innovation, from sustainable fashion and social impact to global youth entrepreneurship and data integrity,” added Deschamps. “Their stories and expertise will inspire our community of student and alumni entrepreneurs to think creatively and critically, embrace challenges, and continue building a future driven by purpose and innovation.”
