Frequently Asked Questions

Information for all Graduating Students & Guests

Students who are eligible to participate in Commencement and have been approved by the Registrar, will receive communications from the Commencement Office confirming their involvement in the Ceremony.

Any questions about Commencement can be directed to commencement@endicott.edu.

  • Commencement Ceremony

    Commencement will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 10 a.m. The event will be held outdoors at the Hempstead Stadium, rain or shine. Guest seating will open at 8 a.m. We request that all guests be seated by 9:45 a.m., when the procession begins. 

    The commencement ceremony starts promptly at 10 a.m. and usually lasts around three hours. 

     

    Commencement celebrates all graduating students. Therefore we ask all students and audience members to remain until the end of the ceremony.

    Graduates must arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. and gather in the Field House, located on the second floor of the Post Center. Endicott staff will direct the lineup. The College requests guests' cooperation in remaining outside the student robing area. We encourage family and friends to make arrangements for pre-Commencement photos elsewhere.


  • Ceremony Tickets

    The College will again be using MarchingOrder to send and manage tickets for attendees. Ticket information will be sent to students in March.


    Students participating in Commencement do not need a physical ticket. The student will fill out the form as prompted by the MarchingOrder system. Each ticket must have a unique email address. Once the student fills out and submits the order form, an email will be sent to each recipient with instructions on how to retrieve the ticket. Only students can order tickets for their guests. Family members do not have the capability to order their own tickets.

    Commencement guests MUST have a ticket ready and available for check-in when arriving at Endicott. Tickets will be scanned at entry. Guests may choose from bleacher or field seating.

  • Commencement Guest Information

    Campus Facilities: Restroom facilities are available in the Post Sport Science & Fitness Center. Portable facilities are also conveniently located inside the stadium gates. Dining facilities will not be available during the ceremony.

     

  • Additional Information

    Policies:

    Drones, alcoholic beverages, large bags, coolers and pets (except service animals) are prohibited from entering the stadium during all Commencement ceremonies.  If located, all bags, backpacks, and coolers (regardless of size) are subject to search and may be confiscated if contraband is found.
  • Will the ceremony be available to view online?

    Yes, the ceremony will be live-streamed on the endicott.edu website as well as on YouTube. 


  • Regalia

    Regalia, Military Cords, & Stoles of Gratitude

    Participation in the Commencement ceremony requires that a cap, gown, and hood be worn. The cost of these items for undergraduate and master’s students is included in your graduation fee.

     

    Regalia will be available for pickup at the Campus Bookstore starting May 1. 

     

    Undergraduate & Graduate: Regalia is ordered for all students and will be available at the bookstore for pickup starting the last week of April. 


    Doctoral: Doctoral students should have received an email in December to order regalia. If you did not, please contact your program director for assistance.


    You do not need to pre-order/pre-size; the Bookstore orders a bell curve of sizes that they will distribute individually.

     

    Military Honor Cords:

    During the Commencement ceremony, 熊猫在线视频 is pleased to honor those graduating students who are providing or have provided military service to the United States of America or will commission upon graduation. If you are graduating this year and are an honorably discharged U.S. veteran student, a currently serving U.S. military student (active duty, National Guard, or Reserves), or commissioning to serve upon graduation this year, you are authorized to wear a Military Honor Cord. For those eligible for military cords, they will be provided with your regalia upon pick up at the Bookstore.

  • Stole of Gratitude

    The Endicott Stole of Gratitude is a College tradition and a symbol of thanks. Worn during the Commencement ceremony, the stole carries the sincere appreciation by the graduate for someone who provided extraordinary help or support. Following the ceremony, the graduate presents the stole. Recipients include parents, relatives, or mentors – anyone who may have helped with wisdom, encouragement, or financial assistance. More than one stole may be worn during Commencement, symbolizing that there are many people in the graduate's life deserving of such a gift. The stoles are available in the Endicott Bookstore.

  • Commencement Participation Policy
    If you are completing degree requirements at the end of the Fall 2024, Winter 2025, or Spring 2025 semesters, you must complete your graduation application, including the intent to participate at the May 2025 Commencement, no later than November 30You may access the graduation application by logging into Etrieve or through this . The login credentials are the same as your email credentials.
    Students that will be earning their degree after the Spring 2025 semester, and qualify to participate in the May 2025 Commencement, must submit a  by the November 30 deadline.

    Spring Commencement Ceremony Eligibility Requirements:
    Doctoral candidates must have successfully defended and received approval signatures on their dissertation.
    Undergraduate and Master’s students may participate in Commencement exercises prior to completion of degree requirements if they meet the following criteria:
    • Minimum Credits: Students may be up to six credits short of the requirements for a degree in their major. Undergraduate students who are only missing the twelve-credit semester internship may participate upon approval by their dean.
    • Minimum GPA: A student entering their last semester with the minimum cumulative GPA required of their degree and major may participate in Commencement exercises if they fall below that minimum in their last semester. Students will not receive their diplomas until all requirements are complete. A student may not fall both below minimum credits and the minimum Cumulative GPA.
    All financial obligations to the College must be paid two weeks prior to Commencement in order to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.
    Students may only participate in one Commencement Ceremony per degree.

  • Graduation Fee

    The graduation fee, which is included in your semester fees, covers a variety of items associated with Commencement, including a degree audit, preparation of diploma, cap, gown, hood, award ceremony, baccalaureate ceremony, and commencement ceremonies.   • Photographs
    There will be a professional photography company, E-lluminations, on-site to take photographs of your graduate as they receive their diploma and after they exit the stage. Ordering and additional information can be found at . Orders can be placed before and after the graduation event. Every graduate will receive a link that includes access to and the ability to purchase their photos.
