Program Overview
M.Ed. in Elementary Education (36 credits)
Get the preparation you need to be an instructional leader in your school through tailored coursework on child development, curriculum and instruction, assessment and planning, and the use of technology. Gain a data-based approach to teaching elementary school in Massachusetts.
Utilizing the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks built on the Common Core and Next Generation Standards, you will learn how to support children’s academic, social, and emotional needs through evidence-based practice. Our programs also feature extensive field experience to help bridge the gap between research and practice.
Upon graduation, you will be eligible to earn an initial license from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Elementary Education (1-6).

Curriculum
Curriculum Requirements - Total Credits Required: 36
Required Curriculum with MA Initial Licensure
As regulated by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the practicum requires 300 hours with a minimum of 100 hours of full responsibility in the role and grade level of the license sought.聽聽Students must聽have their practicum placement, supervising practitioner, and hours approved by Endicott staff before enrolling in the practicum course. Additional hours may be assigned at the discretion of the Dean, Director, Associate Director or Assistant Director.聽
