Fearless leader. Wise beyond her years. Unstoppable.
When Catherine Butler, assistant professor and internship coordinator for the Curtis L. Gerrish School of Business at 熊猫在线视频, was asked to describe Adeline Fullaway, those inspiring words immediately came to mind. After all, few college graduates, let alone soon-to-be juniors, have the resume Fullaway has already put together—and she’s just getting started.
The Barrington, R.I., native has already interned with three different businesses through Endicott’s nationally-recognized internship program, including her current one as a marketing intern at Spicy Addict. She also has been involved in different clubs and organizations and continues to row for the crew team, all while being a double major in business management and marketing.
Her relentless tenacity to better herself and take on new challenges was clear right away as a freshman. Fullaway took advantage of Endicott’s proximity to Boston by taking the train into the city for a marketing internship with , a startup within the .
Fullaway states, “I ran the social media accounts, created infographics, generated media posts, researched competitors, created sales sheets, and did other miscellaneous projects. Additionally, I helped to design the new website that is currently in use, using WordPress, participated in strategic planning meetings, data mined code to help create the baseline for new AI technology, and assisted the CMO, COO and CEO.” Being part of the Mass Challenge community was also a great opportunity, as she interacted with businesses from around the world.
Her second internship was a complete 180, as she tested the waters as an operations intern at , an accounting firm. Fullaway says: “This internship was drastically different from my previous work, as at a startup it was a very ‘work fast and a figure it out yourself’ kind of world, where accounting is very meticulous. I figured out that accounting was not in my future, but I learned all about slowing down and taking my time with work.”
Fullaway ultimately realized she was also pushing herself too hard during that particular internship, as she also joined the her sophomore year and was juggling two practices every day in addition to her school and internship work. “It wasn’t until sophomore year where I joined the crew team and other clubs—including —on campus where I really fell in love with Endicott,” says Fullaway. “I wish I had known sooner to do the things that you want and not just to stick with the people around you.
“As for my academics at Endicott, I am so glad that I chose this school. The internship program has helped me learn not only about what I want to do in the future, but things about myself. The internship program at the school has been great, and the professors within and outside of my major have been so helpful. Though freshman year may have been a little hard for me, I am happy to have finally found my place at this school.”
Fullaway’s future goal is to work in project management, in either the medical field or sustainability. But as she’s demonstrated during her time at Endicott, she’s ready for any changes that may come her way. In addition, she also hopes to set sail in honor of her late father. “One thing that I want to do after I graduate is to sail the with my older sister in honor of my dad,” says Fullaway. “I hope to continue to do the things that I like doing and do the best that I can.”
